10am: Program starts, with panel of recently-elected's (Jessica Ramos, Catalina Cruz)
11:30am: Workshops and service opportunities after the program, Special activities for children

"Keeping the dream alive, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service which honors his life and his teachings of justice through the principles of nonviolence. Mitzvah Day is held in the Jewish tradition of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world by reaching out to others in their hour of need and enriching their lives and community."

- Bystander intervention and de-escalation training
- Voter rights issues including the census
- Housing issues
- Immigration issues
Please bring these donations for the needy:
- Non-perishable canned or packaged food (NO glass bottles) for their food pantries
- NEW children's books, ages 3-8, for Elmhurst Hospital Auxiliary Pediatric Reach Out and Read Program
